Typical gas boiler breakdown costs can run between £100 and £200 or even more, a considerable and unwelcome spike in household expenditure. With ActiveCare® if your gas boiler breaks down you are covered for repairs at a cost of just £20 per month.

Our ActiveCare® policy also covers both your Central Heating and Hot Water systems and includes Mains Gas and Propane gas boilers, providing a full gas boiler cover service to Home Owners , Landlords and Letting Agents across the towns and villages of West Berkshire and Berkshire’s borders.

For £22 per month ActiveCare® gas boiler cover includes a thorough annual gas boiler and hob service (usually worth £85 + £30 + vat) as well as heating and hot water maintenance and repair. For LPG/propane installations the LPG qualified engineer inspects your gas hoses, regulators and connections as well as the gas line to the boiler as part of the service.

Home Owner’s or Landlord’s certificate

You receive a Home Owner’s or Landlord’s certificate to prove we have serviced the boiler according to manufacturer’s and Regulations requirements.

This is a thorough service, no shortcuts just because you are with a fixed payment plan.



Our Office staff will call before your service is due to give you an exact appointment time to fit in with your busy day. Our gas boiler and heating engineers are fully employed by us and one will be allocated to your property so they will become known to you. We do not subcontract this service.  No other boiler insurance cover offers such a personal service.

ActiveCare® cover costs just £22 per month and covers both your Central Heating System and Hot Water System as well as your gas boiler.

Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom. Only a Gas Safe Registered installer is legally allowed to install, service and maintain gas appliances.

ActiveCare® engineers are registered with Gas Safe – Number 18667 – Active Heating Services Ltd

It’s vital that you check your gas installer is Gas Safe Registered. You can ask to see your installer’s Gas Safe Registration card or check on the Gas Safe Register website. If the installer can’t produce an ID card they could be an illegal gas installer.

You may like to know that after gas work has been carried out in your property you can nominate the installation for inspection by the Gas Safe Register.

Gas Safe Register is appointed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI on 1st April 2009.
